Martin Solveig's journey in electronic music began with his early DJ sets at the Palace club at just 18 years old, sparking a passion that led him to become a resident DJ at iconic venues like Le Palace, Les Bains-Douches, and Le Queen during his student years. His breakthrough came with the percussion-driven track "Heart Of Africa," which garnered acclaim from influential DJs such as Joe Clausell and Bob Sinclar. Joining Sinclar's "Africanism" project, Martin co-produced "Edony," a hit that topped club charts across France, Italy, and Greece.
His debut album "Sur la terre" (On Earth) followed in 2002, showcasing a diverse musical vision that included soulful tracks like "I'm a good man" and the Afro-inspired "Linda." Martin's remix of Salif Keita's "Madan" further solidified his global influence, blending afro- disco elements that resonated worldwide. The success continued with "Rocking Music" in 2004, marking a shift towards disco influences and expanding his audience internationally, from Miami's Winter Music Conference to clubs across Europe.
