From an early age, Kurd Maverick displayed a remarkable musical talent, which eventually led him to discover electronic music during a club visit in Dusseldorf. Inspired by icons like Daft Punk and Armand Van Helden, Kurd swiftly immersed himself in DJing, showcasing his innate sense of rhythm and melody across venues like NOH CLUB and Tribehouse before securing his first residency. Transitioning to production in 2001, Kurd initially focused on re-edits and remixes, gaining acclaim for his remake of Technotronic's 'Pump Up The Jam' and subsequent hit 'The Rub'.

His prowess as a producer and remixer solidified with collaborations and remixes for artists such as Robbie Williams, Basement Jaxx, and Erick Morillo. Collaborating with Eddie Thoneick on 'Love Sensation' in 2006 marked a career highlight, topping German Dance Charts and global sales charts. His releases on labels like CR2, Vendetta, and Kontor further established him internationally, culminating in anticipation for his remake of New Order's 'Blue Monday' in 2009.
