This musical chameleon grew up in Surrey and began DJing in Brighton while studying. He initially found success playing bass with the Housemartins and later with a remix of Erik B And Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul." In the '90s, he formed Beats International, achieving a UK number 1 with "Dub Be Good To Me," and later Freak Power, reaching number 2 with "Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out" in a Levi's commercial. Transitioning to house music as Pizzaman in 1994, he had multiple Top 20 hits before pioneering the big beat genre at the Big Beat Boutique and signing with Skint Records as Fatboy Slim.
As Fatboy Slim, he became the face of big beat with hits like "Everybody Needs A 303" and "Praise You," earning a BRIT Award and three MTV Video Awards. Known for blending funky breakbeats with catchy melodies, his music spans various styles, contributing to his widespread appeal. His high-profile marriage to Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball has kept him in the media spotlight, underscoring his blend of rock and dance music and his vibrant, unorthodox approach to production.
